I'm glad to hear artists branching out a bit - and i like the new album, but that guy needs to seriously quit calling it white stripes. Change it to the Jack White Project or something.
Yeah but Meg White... I mean she does stuff too ya know. Like she's all like "boom boom boom boom" and shit. What would the white stripes be without the "boom boom boom"???
I think the new album has a different enough sound (although it is closer to white blood sells than get behind me) that it shouldn't be called a white stripes album. Jack is experimenting quite a bit now - not just that stripped down sound that defines the white stripes. Jack is a genius and very talented. White stripes is turning away from stripped down blues rock and more in to jack's personal outlet. That's cool and all - i just don't think it should be called white stripes any more.
