So the revolution controller is known now. I don't really know what to think about it. Part of me wants to say ghey, but the other part thinks about playing metroid nunchaku style and while stilly ghey, it might kinda be fun. I dunno.... we'll see I guess. Maybe this will really be the time to move to sony.

I think it's awesome. How many times you see someone jerking their NES controller around to make mario jump? How often you see someone leaning forward when they zoom in with the sniper rifle in newer games? It's intuitive and avoids dealing with an ergonomic mold. Nunchaku style is more like traditional controls and it doesn't make me try to sqeeze my hands into a little plastic mold - two units to hold as close or as far apart as I'd like.
You don't know.
Did you notice that if you turn it sideways, you have the old skool nintendo controller? I thought that was cool.
I think it's going to come down to how accurate the thing is and how well it's used in games. I could totally see someone trying to use it to turn a character, which completely fails if you need to go farther than 90 degrees.
There's also a serious issue of CTS and player fatigue I could see happening. Trying to play zelda, doing a sword chop on every character I come across for hours on end? I dunno...
The 1up review does a pretty good job of addressing that. Go read it if you haven't.
It doesn't address how bad it is for your wrist to be doing things like that for long periods, it doesn't address the annoyances possible when using forward/backward motion as zoom, it doesn't address what happens when the dog jumps on you while playing, it doesn't address what happens if you go too far off the screen and the game doesn't tell you.
There are a lot of things that happen in the real world that get marginalized by current controller models. People are a rough crowd when it comes to interfaces and even small annoyances given a choice can lead to them walking away.
I don't think you read the article I was talking about, it addresses a few of those things - specifically the fatigue/comfort and off screen issues. As far as the dog jumping on ur controller, probably not much different than when that happens now.
